But over the past 12 months we have actively invested more than ever before in becoming a more sustainable business. That’s because we believe business should be a force for good. We are on the journey to becoming a better business – and we want to take you with us every step of the way.
As part of our Better Business journey, Curlsmith is working towards becoming a certified B Corporation (or Better Corporation). This involves evaluating every aspect of our business activities, and actively looking for ways to do better for our employees, give back to the wider community and make our business more environmentally sustainable. Certification is just the start. To maintain this status, we will be required to demonstrate significant and continuous improvements in all our business practices.
Curlsmith has also recently signed the UK Better Business Act – joining with a coalition of like-minded companies to campaign for a change in the law that compels all business to align the long-term interests of people, planet and profit.
As we build a better business, we are developing initiatives in 3 key areas:
- People – Enhancing the experience of Curlsmith employees and partners
- Communities – Giving back to our community by supporting non-profits
- Planet – Reducing our impact on the environment via more sustainable practices
